HypnoBirthing in 2020
In 2012 I was preparing for the arrival of our first daughter. I had every confidence in birth, my body and her working together.
When I shared with my midwife about the natural, vaginal birth I was working towards she suggested I look into HypnoBirthing.
I felt kind of silly at the time because I’d already studied Hypnotherapy 7 years earlier but I couldn’t put it togehter how it was going to be used on my birthing day.
The course transformed my birth expectations and it did for my husband too. Our daughter’s birth was calm, loving, in control and so healing after IVF. So much so, that when she was only 7 months old I knew I had to study to become a HypnoBirthing Educator so that I could share this with other familes.
By the way, the “Hypno" part of HypnoBirthing is really all about making sure a woman can be deeply relaxed on her birthing day so that her body and baby can work through birth easier without the impact of fear.
Amongst changes in hospital practices and policies because of Covid- 19 I wanted to speak with Anthea Thomas the VP of HypnoBirthing Institute so that we could share insights on how HypnoBirthing can help you prepare for a truly beautiful birth in 2020.
